Kitiwa ready to improve ahead of Syngenta golf series in Eldoret

Approximately 80 golfers are expected to tee off at this Saturday’s Syngenta golf tournament, which doubles up as Mug of Mugs on the nine hole Eldoret.

Eldoret captain Geoffrey Kitiwa said so far he has received many entries and they are expecting more post entries now that other three clubs have shown interests in playing at the tournament.

“So far we have 80 golfers already in the draw and about 20 post entries since golfers from Karen, Nandi Bears and Kakamega are expected to compete for the title,” he said.

As he plans to hand over the captainship after serving two years, Kitiwa says he wants to better his results.

“I hope to better my last weekend results where I managed 32 stable ford points and move at least up. I have had good training and this will offer good swing,” said Kitiwa.

He added that the event will be the great for the two calendar years that is 2019, 2020 and 2021 Mug of Mugs at the same time, golfers will be battling for the Syngenta title.

“This will be two in one event and golfers will be chasing the titles in various categories, meaning the competition will be too competitive,” added Kitiwa.
