Kosgei and Jepkosgei to renew their rivalry at London marathon

London marathon champion Joyciline jepkosgei and world marathon record holder Brigid Kosgei will highlight the 2022 London marathon.

The duo will be competing for the second time on the same course with the race set for October 2^nd in the Great Britain.

Kosgei, who set the world marathon record at the Chicago marathon returns in London after finishing 4^th with Jepkosgei winning last year’s race in 2:17:43.

Coming from Elgeyo Marakwet, they will be facing off with world 10k record holder and Hamburg marathon champion Yalemzerf Yehualaw, Degitu Azimeraw, Ashete Bekere.

They will also face compatriots Mary Ngugi and Joan Chelimo with host’s Eilish McColgan.
