Pamela Kosgei won bronze for Kenya at the World Cross country championships in Bathurst Australia.
The young sister of world marathon record holder Brigid Kosgei won the under 20 women title behind Ethiopian duo of Senayet Getachew and Mediba Eisa who won gold and silver respectively.
The miss was a blow to Kenyans who failed to defend the title that was last won by Beatrice Chebet in Aarhus, Denmark in 2019.
Kosgei won bronze in 21.01 behind Getachew who won gold in 20:53 and Eisa’s silver in 21.00.
