Top flight football promotion fight starts tomorrow (Wednesday 6th) for both Ushuru fc and Thika United when they meet at the play off to determine who plays in the next year’s Kenya Premier League (KPL).

Thika, who finished third last at the concluded KPL won by Gor Mahia will face off with Ushuru fc that finished third in the National Super League (NS) after losing to Vihiga United by a solitary goal on the final day.
The winner in a two legged tie will get to play in the KPL in 2018 and the play-off match had been shrouded in uncertainty, until the KPL Governing Council meeting in the past week gave the green light.
Thika United will host the first meeting tomorrow as they have a chance to get a head start as far as their future in the KPL is concern. The Wednesday match will be played at the Thika Sub County Stadium.
