Peter Nzuki, the then Nakumatt fc Captain will wear Tusker fc jersey as the 2018 season kicks off next month in the latest Kenya Premier League (KPL) transfers.
Nzuki captained the Nakumatt side and come 2018, his services will be missed fully as the talisman after guiding the team to survive relegation in the 2017 calendar.
Nakumatt has been under pressure financially and after securing its place in the KPL last year, the battle in the current transfer window will be on its ability to hold on to its key players. Nzuki’s departure for the Brewers makes Tusker only his second KPL club, with the player having spent almost his entire career with the shoppers.
But Nzuki’s arrival at Ruaraka is not the latest development in Sam Timbe’s team as the boys in yellow earlier confirmed the capture of defensive midfielder Lawrence Kasadha from Bandari will be expected to provide cover for Ugandan Hashim Sempala who played just a few games last year due to injuries.
Another player who is set to join the 2016 KPL Champions is former Western Stima player Robert Achema with the team still believed to be in the search for a defender more so after losing Martin Kiiza and captain James Situma whose contracts were not renewed by the club at the end of last year.
The trio joins former Gor Mahia striker Timothy Otieno, former Chemelil Sugar FC midfielder Apollo Otieno, Kevin Okoth from Western Stima and Erick Ambunya from Kakamega Homeboyz FC as the new faces on the Tusker side.
