KTTA Andrew Mudibo ruled out of NOC-K elections for none compliance

Kenya Table Tennis Association (KTTA) has been locked out of National Olympics Committee of Kenya (NOC-K) elections set for Thursday June 19th in Nairobi.

Today, the Sports Dispute Tribunal ruled that KTTA boss Andrew Mudibo should not contest at the election since the association has not complied with Sports Act 2013

Mudibo is eyeing the Secretary General position under Team New Dawn, led by Shadrack Maluki who is seeking to succeed outgoing president Paul Tergat.

In a judgment dated June 17, Allan Mola ruled that KTTA was not a duly registered sports organization under the Sports Act during its nomination of candidates, rendering its involvement in the much-awaited polls invalid

The tribunal further ruled that KTTA’s recent registration on June 3, 2025, could not be applied retroactively.

“The issuance of KTTA’s registration certificate on June 3, 2025, cannot validate past decisions or acts done when the body had no legal status,” the ruling read in part.

The tribunal ordered the formation of an interim management committee with members who have not served more than eight years.

“The committee must organize a lawful Annual General Meeting within 60 days and regularize KTTA’s governance structures in at least 24 counties.
