KWS, Refugee are new teams ahead of national trials

There will be two additional teams in this year’s National cross country championships cum national trials in Eldoret next Saturday.

Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and Refugee teams have been included in the championships set for 23rd February at Eldoret Sports Club in Eldoret.

The new entrants will only be competing in senior men’s category as Athletics Kenya selects a team ahead of world cross country championships to be held in Aarhus, Denmark on 30th March.

The KWS team will be led by Evans Mayaka, Eliud Mutahi, Mike Boit, Bernard Kimeli, Kiprono Kikmei and Cornelius Kosgei.

Refugee team will be led by Dominic Lokinyomo, Paulo Amotun, Simon Ayon, Pur Biel, Dominic Lokolong, Ubaa Dinta and Ukuk Uthoo.

The event, which will be sponsored by Lotto Foundation and Uasin Gishu County government will be the first one to be staged outside Nairobi.
