Laiser Hill’s double title as Kakamega returns with a win

Laiser Hill Academy claimed double titles as Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association came to an end today at Shimo La Tewa Grounds in Mombasa.

After defending their rugby sevens title on Friday, they went ahead to claim Basketball Boys title to seal the double title.

In today’s basketball final, Laiser Hill from Rift Valley region edged out Nairobi’s Dagoretti 69-52 in a final match to add on their 10-05 win in rugby.

In rugby15s, kakamega High school won their 8th title following their win against Dagoretti High school.

The Western based school won by a smaller Margin of 18-11 against Nairobi side in a final match to sail to the East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association set for Tanzania in August.

Kirandich High school from Rift valley are the new handball girls champions after dethrowing then champions Moi girls Kamusinga from Western.

The champions managed a slim win of 17-13 against the champions. In boys category, Kimilili from Western retained their title following their 35-21 win over Mbooni boys from Coast.

St. Anthony’s Kitale of Rift Valley retained their Hockey boys title after edging out Friends School Kamusinga of Western 3-2 in a tie breaker while Misikhu from Western from Western defeated long time champions St John’s kaloleni.

In girls basketball, Buru Buru girls from Nairobi were 43-41 winners against Coast’s Kaya Tiwi.
