Kelly Madada and Emmanuel Lwangu scored a goal each when the 1998 Kenya Premier league champions AFC Leopards edged out former champions Ulinzi Stars heading into the penultimate round of the Premier League.
The encounter at the Nyayo stadium, Leopards cemented their second position on the table with 61 points in their rescheduled match four points behind league leaders Gor Mahia on 65 points.
Leopards managed a 2-0 win against soldiers with Madada netting in the 43rd minute and Lwangu’s 82nd to seal the victory.
With six points to be scrambled for, Gor stands a high chance with four more points than Leopards and a win for Gor in the next match will hand them a title with a game left.
