Sabastien sawe announced to defend Berlin marathon title

Fresh from setting the world marathon record with victory at the 2026 London marathon, Sabastien Kimaru Sawe has set eyes on competing at the Berlin marathon come September 27th in ther Germany capital.

Today, the Berlin marathon organizers announced that Sawe, who set the world marathon record and the first man to run a marathon under 2 hours in 1:59:30 announced his chance to compete on the course well known for world records.

Last year, Sawe won Berlin Marathon with a time of 2:02:16 and will be chasing a chance to defend his title.
