Former Football Kenya Federation Premier League champions AFC Leopards have named Tom Juma as the head coach for the team ahead of the new season.
Juma, who has been the assistant coach of the team has been elevated to a full coach after working under Belgian Patrick Aussems.
Last week, Aussems announced his departure from the club and today, the management the former Leopards player Juma will be deputised by another former Leopards player, Fred Ambani. Ambani was in charge of Wazito in 2022.
“His appointment as head coach comes after his significant contributions as an integral part of the coaching staff in the previous seasons,” the club statement read.
“The management is confident that this coaching duo will lead the team to greater heights in the upcoming season.”
In his playing days, Juma won Player of the Year in 2001 — with Leopards.
He is also a former coach of second-tier side Administration Police (in 2012), and had a short stint as Muhoroni Youth interim coach (in 2016).
