Elly Limo recorded his first-ever Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) victory after clinching the Winston Churchill title, which came to a close today at the par-72 Thika Sports Club.
Representing Golf Park, Limo delivered a sterling performance throughout the tournament, carding a total of six-over-par 222 to secure the win after a tense final day in the three day championships that teed off on Friday morning.
He edged out Windsor-based Elvis Muigua by a single stroke, with Muigua finishing second on seven-over-par 223. Limo’s clubmate, Rono Kimutai, completed the top three positions after posting a total of nine-over-par 225.
