Malkia Strikers lost their third pool match in the ongoing women world volleyball championships in the Netherlands.
The national volleyball team lost to Italy 3in straight sets of 15-25, 23-25 and 16-25 in their 4th pool A match.
After beating Cameroon yesterday in straight sets, the Kenya had lost other two matches against Belgium and hosts Netherlands.
Following the loss, Strikers lie in position four with three points as Italy lead the pool 12 points with hosts coming second on 11 Netherlands.
Kenya take on Puerto Rico on Saturday to decide who gets the last qualification slot for the second round.
