Manchester City dominated their city rivals Manchester United during the Emirates FA Cup final played on Saturday evening at the Wembley stadium.
iIkay Gundogan bagged a brace with Bruno Fernandes for 2-1 win for the Cityzens.
Gundogan scored first in the first minute of the match to hand the champions a 1-0 lead but Fernandes leveled through the spot kick when jack Greelish handled the ball in the box with Video Assistant Referee handing a delayed outcome for 1-1 into break.
On resumption, Gundogan connected well with Kevin De Brune’s free-kick to fire in with his left foot in the 51st minute to hand the champions the lead and eventually the win.
This title hands Cityzens second trophy this season after winning the English Premier league title two weeks ago.
Next weekend, Cityzens will be chasing a hattrick of titles when they face Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League in Istanbul, Italy.
