Mashemeji derby: Leopards hold Gor as champions Tusker beat leaders Homeboyz

Champions Tusker increased their chances of retaining their title after beating leaders Kakamega Homeboyz in today’s kenya Premier league.

As AFC leopards hold Gor mahia in another match at the Kasarani stadium.

The Ruaraka grounds, Tusker beat leaders Homeboyz 2-0 to cut the lead to a point with Tanzanian import Joshua Ibrahim netting the opener in the 22nd minute and Ugandan import Deogratious Ojok sealing the victory in the 85th minute.

The victory moved the brewers to 55 points, one less than Homeboyz on 56.

In other matches, promoted side Vihiga Bullets beat Kariobangi Sharks 4-3 where Patilah Omoto, Erick Mmata and Steve Otieno scored for the losers while a brace from Vincent Ogola, Robert Arrot and Philip Muchuma netted for the winners.

At Kasarani stadium, Gor mahia came from a goal dwon to registerd a one-all draw against visiting Leopards in the ‘Mashemeji’ Derby.

Victor Omune scored for Leopards first before Benson Omalla equalized.

levelled for K’Ogalo in the 51st minute as the two clubs shared spoils.

At the same venue, KCB drew 1-1 with newbies FC Talanta. Dennis Oalo and Edwin Lavatsa scored for Talanta and Enock Agwanda scored for KCB.

At Sudi stadium in Bungoma, Nzoia Sugar and Kenya Police played for a barren draw.
