Machine, the University of Nairobi (UoN) defeated hosts 21-07 during the 4th leg, which is the penultimate stage ahead of fortnight’s final led in Nairobi.
Fly half Brian Odiwar made double successful tries between the posts for Mean Machine that were converted by Walter Cecil for 14-0 lead in the opening half.
Alvin Otieno reduced the lead by his converted try by Patrick Kamamu to give home fans hope of recovering to win their maiden title.
With UoN’s Cecil on Sin Bin, hosts failed to sting and, on his return, he converted Festus Siliasi’s try for a 21-07 lead.
