Kiambu golfer Michael Karanga successfully retained the Railway Invitation title, the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) series that came to an end today at the par 72 Kenya Railways Golf Club in Nairobi.
Karanga fired a total of two under par 214 in the three day 54 hole tournament that attracted over 100 golfers drawn from various clubs across the country.
The Kenya’s top amateur player has taken the lead in the series on his way to defend the KAGC title he won last year. He has now collected 663 points relegating Kenya Captain John Lejirma to second after leading in the first half of the tournaments with 621 points as Kiambu’s Elvis Muigua remains third on the standings with 415 points.
