Butere Girls has dominated the provisional squad of Junior Starlets, the national under 17 team ahead of 2025 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Uganda.
Today, the head coach Mildred Cheche, named a squad that is dominated by national football champions Butere Girls’ that has Halima Imbachi, Joy Angela Valencia who returns into the squad that played at the World Cup campaign last year.
The duo joins Ulinzi Starlets’ pair of Velma Abwire and Lorine Illavonga, Scovia Awuor from Kobala Secondary, Nyakach Girls’ defender Jenevieve Mithel, Madira Soccer Assassins’ midfielder Brenda Awuor, Lindy Wee from Sunflower Academy, Mwira Primary School attacker Joan Ogola and Saye’s Quinter Adhiambo
But those missing into the squad are Lorna Faith Wasike, and Diana Anyango from Butere Girls, speedy attacker and Archbishop Njenga Girls immediate Captain Marion Serenge, and Madira Soccer Assassins forward, Valerie Nekesa, who have already graduated to the Rising Starlets squad.
