Windsor golf club’s Elvis Muigua defeated Golf Park’s Amos Odongo to lift the 4th edition of the Ronald Marshal and Toby Gibson title played at the Njoro golf club in Nakuru County.
Muigua became the second player to win the title following a hat-trick of victory by John Lejirma, who recently turned professional. Lejirma won the inaugural title in 2023 retained the title in 2024 then winning the hattrick in 2026.
The three day event that teed off on Friday morning, culminated today with Muigua edging out Odongo during the final in a match play format with 1-up in the 18th hole.
Rwandese international Byiringiro from Limuru club beat Nakuru’s Kenneth Muraya to claim bronze medal. At the semifinals, the champion was 5-4 against Muraya while odongo beat Jacques 4-2.
