Fresh from winning a double, the Malindi Open- Vasco da Gama- and Diani Beach Masters, Elvis Muigua is expected to coinmtinue with his imperious perfirmnce at the inaugural Nanyuki Open, the Kenya Amateur Golf Champoionships (KAGC) series at the Nanyuki Sports Club.
With the event teeing off tomorrow Friday 26th September, running to Sunday September 28th, Muigua will be joined by top amateurs in search of points ahead of 2026 Magical Kenya Open.
The tournament has drawn 74 players who will battle for a prize purse of KES 500,000, with a handicap entry limit of 13.5, guaranteeing an elite field.
He will be joined by series leader John Lejirma, KAGC champion Michael Karanga among others in the battle of titles and cash prizes.
Malindi Open runner-up Ebill Omollo, and Isaac Makokha are the other notable names on the list to ensure a fiercely competitive tournament, all aiming to win the inaugural event.
Nanyuki Sports Club Captain Michael Mwirigi said: “We are proud to welcome golfers, fans, and the wider community to witness this historic event. The tournament will not only deliver top-tier golf but also showcase the charm and hospitality of Nanyuki.”
According to the draw released by captain, Omollow ill be the first player on the course at 7:30 alongside I. samani.
