Muthaiga reclaim Tannahill Shield title

Muthaiga reclaimed the Tannahill Shied Golf tournament that came to an end today at the Royal Nairobi golf club.

The Muthaiga players defeated 2019 runners-up Western Kenya team nine points to reclaim the title they had lost to hosts Royal Nairobi in 2017.

On their way to the title, Muthaiga beat Railway 5-3, Vet Lab (8-0) for 48 points.

Captained by Khushil Nathwani, Brian Njoroge and manager Ganeev Giddie.

Western retained their second position after beating Mombasa 5-3 for nine points with 39 points and Limuru was third on 34 after beating Karen 6-2.

Vet Lab finished 4th with 32 points as hosts Royal, who won the Shield in 2018 and 2019, tied with Railway on 31 points, while Mombasa finished seventh on 28 points, one better than Sigona and Karen was last on 18 points.
