Na Hussein Dey dethrones Gor Mahia

A solitary goal for home team Na Hussein Dey relegated Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia to second position in pool D at the CAF Confederation Cup fixture.

Gor Mahia went down in Algeria with a lone goal from
Abderhamane Yusfi in the 10th minute was enough to seal victory for homeside on Sunday night.

Following their win, Hussein Dey leads the pool with 7 points ahead of Gor Mahia’s 6, Zamalek are third and Angola’s Petro Atletico are last from four matches.

But Hassan Oktay’s team was not satified with the results after they equalised Shafik Batambuze’s header off a Francis Kahata corner kick but centre referee disallowed the goal for an infringement.

The Zambian referee of that match was later suspended by Caf for alleged biased officiating.
