World 800m champion Lilian Odira and Africa 10,000m race walk silver medalists Stephen Ndangili Kihu settled for silver medals in their respective races at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
Odira won 800m silver after clocking 2:00.58 behind the champion Georgia Hunter Bell from England in 1:59.51 before Australian Sarah Billings complete the podium with bronze in 2:00.61.
Kihu, who won the national title in the 10,000m race walk also settled for silver when he crossed the 10,000m race walk finish line in 38:46.57 after Australian Isaac Beacroft won gold in 38:45.51 with Canadian Evan Dunfee completing the podium with bronze medal in 40:03.39.
In other track results, Kenyans secured a final spot in the 4x400m relay after timing 3:15.92.
In the field events, Faith Kipsang will be competing at the long jump final after jumping 6.23m in group A
