The National Olympics Committee of Kenya is set to defer the planned July 19th elections following a court order.
In a memo seen y Dailysport.co.ke sent to all 25 federations on July 15th, titled “Deferred NOCK Elections (without prejudice).
Reads in part: “The earlier scheduled NOC-K elections on 19th June 2025, could not take place due to a court order. The court matter has not yet been concluded and the judgement in the Eldoret High Court petition No. e021 of 2025 will be delivered on 17th July 2025,
The NOC-K Executive Committee would wish to have the elections on the 19th July 2025. However, the Secretary general cannot issue notice before the order is lifted or otherwise vacated. This is to therefore inform all that if the order is lifted, notice of continuation of the meeting shall be send out immediately,
Further, we write to inform you that once the order is lifted, we shall have International Olympics Committee representative present as an observer.
