Nairobi Nationwide champions Northern Suburbs were declared the champions after their opponents Eldoret RFC failed to turn up to play at the nationwide rugby final play-off at Catholic University ground.
After qualifying to play at the KRU championships following their semifinal wins last weekend, the two teams were to battle for the title but the latter failed to travel.
Despite missing the final, Eldoret RFC will play in the KRU Championship in the 2019/20 season courtesy of reaching the final. They replace Ngong Warriors and Kitale RFC who have been relegated.
Suburbs managed to play at the final after beat Moi Arsonists 15-16 while Eldoret saw off Maseno Univeristy 39-8 at Maseno school.
