Ugandan Godfrey Nsubua recorded second Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) victory at the Nyali Open, played yesterday at the par 71 Nyali golf club.
After winning Tea Field title at the Kericho golf club on October 1st, the Mehta golf club player edged out round one and two leader Michael Karanga for victory.
The Uganda Amateur golf champion fired four over par 217 in the three rounds in the three day 54 hole tournament for the victory.
In the last round, the champion recorded birdies in one and 14th with all pars and two bogeys in 6th and 12th. In round two on Saturday, he accumulated the best scores of one under par 70 when he had foru birdies in 1st, 5th, 12th and 17th, before dropping a shot in 3rd, 10th and 18th with remaining pars while the opening round on Friday, he had a bad day with five over 76 with a single birdie in 5th, with numerous bogeys and pars.
