Champions Obunga FC will be facing off with Pasc Langa at the final of Safaricom Chapa Dimba national championships in Kisumu tomorrow.
The Nyanza champions edged out Coast representatives Bandari Youth 2-0 in a match at Mamboleo stadium today with goals from Sydney Ogutu in the 38th minute before Armstrong Omondi sealed the victory.
In another Boys’ semifinal, Rift valley representatives PASC Langa secured their spot in the finals after outplaying Ebwali with a resounding 4-0 win.
Langa head coach Fredrick Owino expressed his team’s readiness to claim the title, citing their previous experience in the Safaricom Chapa Dimba tournament. Owino noted the tough challenge posed by their opponents but remained confident in his team’s ability to deliver positive results.
Samson Maina scored the opener in the 19th minute before Brian Shateya doubled the score as he earned a brace in the 51st minute for 3-0 and Benson Aduma sealed the 4-0 victory.
In the girls, Nyanza region champions Plateau Queens from Nyakach Girls will be talking on Laikipia’s Barcelona Ladies SC at the final.
Plateau Queens defeated Brenda Girls from Bungoma County’s Western 5-1 while Barcelona Ladies SC representing Central beat Trans Nzoia-based and Rift Valley giants Wiyeta Girls 2-1.
