Harambee Stars Captain Dennis Odhiambo has exhibited confidence ahead of the return leg against Taifa Stars on Sunday in the Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) qualifier.
Kenya played out to a barren draw against Tanzania in first leg in the two East Africa Swahili nations played on Sunday at Dar Es Salaal National stadium.
Captain Dennis Odhiambo, meanwhile, called out on fans to turn up in large numbers for Sunday’s match.
“Fans’ support was very key for us in the run-up to our AFCON qualification. We need it likewise on Sunday, and I am confident that we will give them something to smile about,” said the Midfielder.
Coach Sébastien Migné expressed contentment with the result, promising an all-out approach in the second leg on Sunday.
“We were good defensively. We now have to work on building better link-up play offensively, and I am confident that we will have a good match on Sunday,” said Coach Migné
“A draw away from home was a good result for us. It was hard since most of the players were new at this stage, but they gave a good account of themselves,” weighed in the coach
The team is back in camp and will hold their first session on Tuesday evening at the MISC Kasarani in the run-up to Sunday’s match.
