Off-target Olunga as Al Duhail defeat Sailiya in Amir Cup

Kenyan international Michael Olunga failed to score in today’s match as Al Duhail thrashed Al Sailiya in the Amir Cup quarterfinals played at the Grand Hamad stadium.

The Harambee Stars captain failed to hit the target, the first one in four matches he has played and his side beat their opponents 4-1 as Olunga seeks his first medal in Qatar.

Former Tottenham Hotspurs Toby Alderweired opened the score for Al Duhail in the 12th minute before Ismeel Mohammed doubled in the 34th minute as Walter Bwalya scored a consolation for Saliliya in the 54th minute but Abdeirahman Moustafa and Karim Boudiaf scored a goal each for a win.

Following their win, the Luis Castro coached side will be facing off with defending champions and newly-crowned league winners Al Sadd in the semi-final.
