Oilers beat Leos to win Prisloo sevens title

Menengai Oilers won their first kenya Rugby sevens title following their victory against Strathmore Leos at the Prisloo sevens in Nakuru’s Athletics club.

Oilers became the 5th team to win the series following their 12-07 win against Leos at the finals after ahead of Kakamega Sevens final round.

The champions lost at the Driftwood Sevens to Mwamba and Dala Sevens to Homeboyz where Steve Arunga touched down first with Dennis Abukuse converting for Oilers to take 7-0 lead with Abukuse  crossing the line with his uncoverted try for 12-0 lead but Branson Madigu touched down for Leos and George Omoro adding the extras for a 12-7.

In the semifinals Oilers beat KCB 19-14 as Strathmore thrashed Homeboyz 26-5 in the second
