Okello and Okulu replaces Ayesa and Akinyi in Kenya Lionesses Olympic Repechage

Kenya Lionesses, the national women’s rugby team will be facing off with New Guinea, Samoa and Argentina at the World Rugby Sevens Olympic Repechage later this month.

With the return of former captain Janet Okello and Grace Okulu into the Lionesses, the team will be strong at the last chance to qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris, France.

The Repechage set for June 21st to 23rd in Monaco, France will see the duo, who plays for Japanese club MIE Pearls miss the third leg of the HSBC Sevens Challenger in Krakow, Poland.

Okello and Okulu replaces Terry Ayesa and Phoebe Akinyi as the team is made up of Edith Nariaka and Freshia Oduor, Sheila Chajira, Naomi Amuguni, Stella Wafula, Maureen Muritu, Christabel Lindo, Edith Nariaka, Grace Okulu, Sinaida Mokaya, Freshia Oduor, Sharon Auma, Janet Okello, Judith Okumu
