Japan based janet Okello will captain the Kenya Lionesses squad, the national rugby women’s team was named today ahead of the Rugby Africa Women’s Sevens championships set for Tunis, Tunisia.
Head coach Dennis Mwanja named the final squad for the championships that will kick off on April 29-30.
Okello will be replacing Philadelphia Olando who was appointed as Head Coach of the United Arab Emirates Women’s Rugby Team.
Kenya will be seeking their maiden appearance at the tournament and they will be facing their main rivals South Africa who earned a direct ticket as the 2022 World Cup.
