Okoth to fight for bronze after losing to Oganisyan at Konstantin Korotkov Memorial

Kenyan featherweight boxer champion Nicholas ‘Commander’ Okoth will be battling for a bronze medal in the ongoing Konstantin Korotkov Memorial International Boxing Championships in Russia ahead of Olympic Games set for Tokyo, Japan.

Okoth was punched off by Russian Ovik Oganisyan in the semifinals of the 57km category, failing to make to the finals of the championships.

Yesterday, the Hit squad, national boxing team captain beat Ukrainian Kishko Sergei to qualify into the semifinals.

On the official Boxing Federation of Kenya twitter @BoxingKenya, they wrote: Nick Okoth losses to Russian Ovik Oganisyan in Featherweight (57kgs) Semi-Finals contest semifinals.
