Okumbi names Tanui, Omala in Emerging Stars for CECAFA tournament

National Super League top striker Alfred Tanui will lead Emerging Stars, the Kenya Under-23 football team at the Cecafa Championship to be staged in Ethiopia.

The Emerging Stars head coach Stanley Okumbi named a provisional 32 squad over the weekend ahead of the annual  tournament set for July 3rd to July 18th, Okumbi has named a 23.

The Kisumu All Stars striker, Tanui leads the NSL with  12 goals will partner with Ken Wanyonyi of Bungoma Super Stars.

Gor Mahia striker Benson Omalla, AFC Leopards Peter Thiong’o and Nzoia Sugar are in the mix.
