Okumu siblings of Elizabeth and Seline Okumu will lead Kenya Lionesses, the women’s national basketball team set to compete at this year’s FIBA Zone Five Women’s Basketball Qualifiers set for next week in Cairo, Egypt.
Today, the Kenya Basketball Federation named a final squad of 12 players that will fly the Kenyan flag under coach George Mayienga and will be captained by experienced Seline Okumu.
The sole ticket chase will start from February 3rd to 8th for this year’s Women’s Afrobasket scheduled for Abidjan, Ivory Coast from 25 July to 3 August.
Kenya will be battling out with hosts and defending champions Egypt, Uganda, Burundi, and South Sudan.
