Reigning Wimbledon Junior doubles champion Angella Okutoyi has been drawn with Indian Sharanya Shetty at the start of W15 Nairobi Women’s World Tennis Tour that serves off tomorrow.
The Kenyan player will take on Shetty and the winner will face off with Sevil Yuldasheva from Uzbekistan and Tanzanian qualifier Ester Nankulange in the second round.
Today, only four Kenyan players made it to the draw: Roseline Asumwa, will face off with Australian Nessa Pratt and the winner will play Indian Sharmada Balu or Kenyan Katarina Karanja.
Stacy Yego earned a bye after Venezuelan player’s withdrew from the and will now face Indian Mahrukh Kokni.
Others are Mary Wachira, Claire Muthoni and Cynthia Wanjala failed to make the cut.
