Olunga, Omalla, Onyango and Juma on target as Harambee Stars hit Seychelles

Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga fired a brace when Kenya defeated Seychelles in the 2026 World Cup qualifier match at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny in Abidjan, Ivory Coast yesterday.

Olunga was the thorn in the flesh of the minnows Seychelles winning 5-0 victory in their second match of the pool, redeedming their image after losing 2-1 to Gabon on Thursday.

The Engin Firat boys opened the score 2nd minute before adding the second in the 10th for 2-0 and Masud Juma made it 3-0 on the break.

After the break, Rooney Onyango scored in the 62nd minute as substitute Benson Omalla sealed the emphatic win with a fifth goal of the night and his first for the team in the 73rd minute.

Kenya now rises to position three in group ‘F’, amassing three crucial points in their quest for the 2026 World Cup qualification slot that will be hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.
