Despite Michael Olunga scoring his 16th goal of the season, his side Kashiwa Reysol failed to contain the sharp striking power of Sagan Tosu in the Japanese top tier league.
The Harambee Stars striker was on target in the 16th minute but his goal did not count at the final results as they lost 2-1 away to Tosu today.
The run-away golden boot winner scored first in the 24th minute for his 16th goal from 15 matches played, Tosu leveled through Daichi Hayashi after converting a penalty in the 45th minute before Riki Harakawa scired the wiunning goal in the 48th minute.
Harakawa’s goal denied Olunga and his Reysol side a third straight win win.
The newly promoted Reysol won 3-0 win against Gamba Osaka on Thursday with Olunga scoring his 15th goal.
