Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga missed to score as his side Kashiwa Reysol defeaed Shimizu S-Pulse in the Japanese league today.
Reysol edged out Shimizu 2-1 with the winners goals coming from Ataru Esaka in the 36th minute while Hiroto Goya netted in the 38th minute to collect maximum points Shimizu S-Pulse scored a consolation through Carlos Antonio Carlinhos in the 90th minute.
This was the second match that the former Gor Mahia player was out of the team for the second time in a row.
Over the week, Olunga was not played in the J-League Cup match against their top-tier rivals Osaka Cerezo.
Despite missing the league game, Olunga leads the scores’ chart with 14 goals.
