Olympic marathon champions Kipchoge, Hassan set to rule Sydney Marathon

Double Olympic Games marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge and Olympic Games marathon champion Sifan Hassan will headline Sunday August 31^st Sydney Marathon.

The former world marathon record holder, Kipchoge will lead the elite men race in the battle of titans at the race will be run for the first time as World Marathon Majors (WMM) since it was elevated last year.

Sydney has joined the top level marathoners in the world that kicked off at the Tokyo (Japan), London (England), New York City (USA), Boston (USA), Berlin (Germany) and Chicago (USA).

The men line up include compatriots Vincent Ngetich, Brimin Misoi, Ethiopian Birhanu Legese, Dawit Wolde among others. (see the full list below).
