Reigning Commonwealth Games 100m champion Ferdinand Omanyala won the Botswana Continental Gold Tour meeting with a new world.
The Africa 100m champion and record holder won the title in a new world lead of 9.78 after beating Letsile Tebogo who crossed the finish in 9.91 to finish second as USA’s Olympic and world 200m medallist Kenny Bednarek clocked 10.02 to close the podium.
Omanyala went into Botswana with season’s best 10.05 from his victory at Athletics South Africa Grand Prix 2.
