Reigning Commonwealth Games 100m champion Ferdinand Omanyala recorded victory at the Mondeville Meeting setting a new national record in the 60m Indoor championships.
The Africa 100m record holder shattered his own record in the 60m indoor national record yesterday in 6.55 seconds by deleting 0.2 seconds from 6.57.
The national champion defeated Ivory Coast’s Arthur Cisse to second in 6.59sec, as Briton Charles Dobson settled third in a season’s best 6.61.
Making her debut at the indoors’ Commonwealth Games 800m champion Mary Moraa was 4th in Orlen Copernicus Cup at Arena, Toruń in Poland.
In Mondeville Meeting Alex Ng’eno finished third in the men’s 800m final in 1:50.38 behind Javier Miron.
