Former champions Nzoia Sugar and Kenya Police recorded victories in today’s Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF-PL) played across the country.
John Mwangi scored two fast second half goals when Nzoia came from a goal down to beat Kariobangi Sharks 3-1 at the Utalii Sports Ground.
Sharks scored first through Keith Imbali in the 8th minute but Nzoia’s John Mwangi leveled in the 50th minute and doubled the score in the 52nd minute for 2-1 as Timothy Ekhavi scored an on-goal for a 3-1 win.
With the victory, the sugar millers took the lead on the table with 31 points, four above second-placed Kenya Police who beat Nairobi City Stars 2-1 at the Kasarani Annex.
Alvin Mangeni scored a brace in one minute after coming from 1-0 down.
Ezekiel Odera put City Stars ahead in the 45+1 minutes but substitute Mang’eni, who replaced Clifton Miheso equalized 60th minute and sealed the victort a minute later.
