Africa 100m record holder Ferdinand Omanyala Omurwa has qualified to compete at the semifinals at the ongoing World Athletics Indoor championships in Belgrade, Serbia.
The national record holder Omanyala won heat 2 in 60m race in 6.62 at the Stark Arena followed by Mario Burke and Nigel Ellis.
The first three in each of the seven heats qualified into the semifinals that will be run tonight ahead of tomorrow’s finals.
The semi-finals will be held at 8.40pm Kenyan time with the final slated for 11.20pm
