Olympic Games bound Christine Ongare and Nicholas Okoth lead other Kenyan boxers who have qualified into the semifinals of the ongoing Africa Zone 3 Championship.
As the only female boxer, Ongare secured the semifinal match and will be playing against Munga Zalia of the Democratic Republic of Congo in the 51kg category.
Captain Okoth face Tchouta Mbianda of Cameroon in the 57kg category as David Karanja will punch DRC’s Mungu Biakulolowa in 52kg, Boniface Mugunde face Kayla Engulu of DRC in the 69kg as Elly Ajowi bound off with Yegnong Maxime of Cameroon.
