following their win against Fort Lauderdale at the
Inter Miami CF Stadium in Florida
The
former Gor Mahia midfielder side edged out their opponents 3-2 to end a
three-match losing spell.
Otieno, who officially
joined the team mid-last month, was excited with his debut and is eager to
doing better in upcoming matches.
The
winners’ goals were scored by Ethan Vanacore-Decker, Austin Panchot and Evan
Conway while Eduardo Sosa and Felipe Valencia were on target for Fort
Lauderdale.
Panchot
opened the scores in the 25th minute before Sosa equalized in the 43rd
minute in the first half’s one all draw. After resumption, Conway added the
second for Omaha’s lead in the 47th minute then Fort Lauderdale equalized by
Valencia but Vanacore-Decker secured three points for the host in the 84th
minute.
The
win moved them to third position in the USL League One and they are now one
point behind Richmond Kickers. The two top teams in the competition will meet for
the title championship decider.
