Over 60 elite riders are expected to face off at the 4th edition of the Eldama Ravine Classic, the Kenya Cycling Race Series (KCRS) in Eldama Ravine, Baringo County.
Organizers of the Sunday October 27th event led by Charles Mbugua are looking forward for a better event as riders seek to earn points ahead of major championships.
Mbugua said that elite and the under 23 riders will be covering a total of 115km in the battle for the top honours.
“We are looking forward to a very competitive event now that the region has top riders in the country. We are expecting at least 50 cyclists to compete,” he said.
The Ravine completion is the 11th meeting in the 25 series meetings across the country.
“In Ravine, we started way back in 2018 but when Covid came, we stopped and later resumed,” he said.
The Eldama Ravine event comes after 14 days when Kenya hosted the CAC Road Cycling Africa Championships in Eldoret and Iten.
