Paarwater names Shujaa players into Simbas provisional squad for Rugby World Cup qualifiers

Kenya Simbas, the national rugby 15s side head coach Jerome Paarwater has called 50 provisional squad into the camp ahead of Rugby World Cup qualifiers set for Kampala, Uganda in July.

With the World Rugby 15s set for 2027, the Kampala will run from July 6th to 20th 2025 with Paarwater and technical bench will be camping in Kakamega from May 11- 18 where the squad  will be trimmed to 33 players.

Fresh from representing the country in Los Angeles, Shujaa 7s side players led by Vincent Onyala, Kevin Wekesa, Festus Shiasi, William Mwanji, Samuel Asati, Brian Tanga and Jone Kubu have been included in the squad.

The South African tactician also extended his gratitude to club coaches across the Kenya Cup, crediting their involvement in the talent identification process.
