Prodigy Moraa, Kishoyian romp in victory

World under 18 400m silver medalist and Alphas Kishoyian were the winners of the national 400m titles in the Athletics Kenya track and field championships at Nyayo national stadium today.

Moraa, who also won the Africa 400m title clocked 52:65 to win her maiden national title after edging out Kenya Police compatriot Gladys Musyoki to second in 54.13 as Nevian Michira from Kenya Prisons timed 54.24 for third.

Apart from her running today, she is also in the Kenya team for this years All African Games.

Regular sprinter Kishoyian from Kenya Defence Forces retained his national title ahead of Alex Sampao from Kenya Police and Collins Omae.

He won in 45.55 fiollowed by Sampao’s 46.41 and Omae’s 46.42.

Representing Universities Ferdinand Omanyala won 100m title as well as Monica Safania of Kenya Police.

Omanyala clocked 10.48 for the title beating Samuel Chege of Kenya Defence Forces to second place in 10.73 as Kenya Prisons’ Hesbon Ochieng came in third in 10.80.

Safania timed 12.36 to claim her first national title, beating compatriot and favourite Fresha Mwangi to second place in 12.69. Patricia Isichi romped home third in 12.76.
