It will be a Kenyan affair in girls volleyball and handball at the final of Federation of East Africa Secondary schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) in Arusha, Tanzania.
Reigning volleyball champions Kwanthanze will be hosting Cheptil in the girls volleyball final while handball champions Moi Girls Kamusinga will be hosting debutants Kirandich Girls.
Kwanzanze from edged out compatriots Soweto in straight sets in the semi-final one before Cheptil had to sweat to stun Uganda’s St. Alloys 3-1.
It was an easy win for Kenyan champions who beat Soweto 25-16, 27-27 and 25-12 while Cheptil were 25-20, 21-25, 25-10 and 25-12 to book for final play.
In handball, champions Kamusinga will be chasing back to back titles against Kirandich. The Western representatives defeated Uganda’s Mbogo in 24-20 while Kirandich toiled their way to win in extra time against Rwanda’s Kizinguro.
In other finals, Uganda’s St. Mary’s Kitende will be hosting compatriots St. Noa in girls Basketball.
Kitende were 71-44 winners against Kenya’s Buru Buru while Noa were 53-43 winners against Kenyan champions Kaya Tiwi.
